New two-stroke diesel engine cylinder diameter measuring instrument


Recently, the Swedish company Chris has introduced a new two-stroke diesel engine cylinder diameter measuring instrument. It is understood that the new cylinder diameter measuring instrument consists of a measuring device and a wireless hand-held terminal. The measured data will be transmitted via the radio communication line to the antenna inserted into the starting air valve sleeve. The stored data will be passed to the computer's Excel application via Bluetooth, USB or SD card.

It is reported that the introduction of the new cylinder diameter measuring instrument is mainly to satisfy the user to quickly ascertain the internal state of the cylinder liner of the two-stroke diesel engine. The new cylinder diameter measurement instrument can be used without removing the cylinder head or the exhaust valve housing. The condition of the cylinder block is measured. The new liner diameter measuring instrument replaces the inner diameter micrometer and can be inserted into the cylinder liner through the scavenging port. Measuring the cylinder liner with the new cylinder liner diameter measuring instrument takes only a fraction of the time required for the traditional measurement methods previously used. When measuring the diameter of a cylinder block using a conventional cylinder diameter meter, it takes not only several hours to remove (and install) the cylinder head, but also the risk of failure due to reassembly. At the same time, the new cylinder liner diameter gauge can presume diesel data for most existing two-stroke diesel engines. With a weight of only 3.6 kg, it is suitable for measuring 500 to 980 mm diesel engine cylinder bores.

The radio transmitter of the new cylinder block diameter meter has the CE mark required by the EU and Turkey. Chris Marine Company stated that in order to verify whether the new cylinder block diameter meter meets the standards of other countries, the most important standards are the United States, Japan, China and South Korea, and further tests will be conducted.
